TypeorDrop is a free website for everyday file jobs: converting between formats, compressing PDFs and images, merging Word and PDF files, and resizing pictures. It has 150 tools, works in any browser without installing anything, and you can start without an account. What TypeorDrop is

TypeorDrop brings the small file tasks that usually send you to five different websites into one place:

It runs in the browser on computers, Android phones, iPhones and tablets, and can be installed as an app from the browser.

How it works

  1. Open the tool you need, from the homepage search or the list of all tools.
  2. Add your file, or drag it onto the page.
  3. Choose the options the tool offers, such as a target size or a resize template, and start the job.
  4. Your file is processed on TypeorDrop's servers, which use tools such as LibreOffice, ImageMagick, Ghostscript and FFmpeg.
  5. Download the result. If you have an account, your recent results also appear in your history.

Each run of a tool is one job. Merging 20 Word files at once is still one job.

Is TypeorDrop free?

Yes. Without an account you can run 2 jobs a day, and with a free account 10 a day. Installing the app adds 5 more. Pro removes the daily limit (fair use) and the ads for $4 a month or $38.40 a year.

Do I need to create an account?

No. You can start without one. A free account raises the limit to 10 jobs a day and keeps a history of your recent results.

How big can my files be?

Compress PDF accepts up to 50 MB, Resize Image and Compress Image up to 15 MB, video files up to 50 MB, and the other tools up to 5 MB per file.

How long does TypeorDrop keep my files?

Uploaded files are deleted automatically within about 24 hours, and results after 7 days.

Is there a desktop app?

No. TypeorDrop runs in the browser. On most browsers you can install it as an app, which opens it in its own window and adds 5 jobs a day.

Which languages is TypeorDrop available in?

English only, for now.
