Convert PowerPoint PPT to PPTX online for free. Upload a PPT file (.ppt), and TypeorDrop converts it to PPTX (.pptx) on our servers, ready to download. Use it to update PowerPoint 97–2003 presentations to the format current versions of Microsoft PowerPoint, Google Slides and LibreOffice Impress use by default. No software to install, and you can start without an account.
PPT is the older Microsoft PowerPoint format used by PowerPoint 97 to PowerPoint 2003.
PPTX is the current PowerPoint format. Files are smaller, open without Compatibility Mode, and work best in PowerPoint, Google Slides and Keynote.
Text, images and layouts are kept. Some animations, transitions or embedded media can change, so play the presentation once before you present it.
You can upload files up to 5 MB. The limit is the same on every plan.

Your file is uploaded over an encrypted connection and processed on our servers. Uploaded files are deleted automatically after about 24 hours, and converted results after 7 days. We don't share your files with anyone.
